Coffee Break
After a fantastic first season of Ground and Gratitude, Lorilee is taking some time to practice what she preaches: self care, rest, and reflection. From all of us here at Ground and Gratitude, thank you for coming along on this enriching journey of discovery and growth. While we take a break from producing new episodes, please check out Season 1 for many wonderful conversations exploring what it means to be a creative in this world and how to bring all the love, joy, and laughter back to the process of design — and life too!
Thanks so much for listening. We’ll see you again soon!

Coffee Break Transcript
[00:00:00] Lorilee Rager: Hey, I am Lorilee Rager, and this is Ground and Gratitude. It’s a podcast about designing the life you want, one that not only grows, but also gives. I just wanted to take a moment to thank you all for tuning in to the first season of Ground and Gratitude. The experience making this show has literally been life-changing.
It has helped me process deeper some of my research through my thesis, as well as just some of my life experiences. It’s felt so good and healing. The time spent on this podcast with these guests has really, really helped my perspective and my understanding as I processed my own mental health and my own journey as a designer, and an artist, and a mom, and a sober person, and all of the other parts of my life. Each one of these episodes contains unexpected insights and nuggets of wisdom from everyone from friends and neighbors, to family, to some of the experts in their field that have helped me and supported me through my journey.
In the spirit of the show and the work that I’ve done, I’m going to take some time to really rest, and reflect, and practice some self care — a little bit of practicing what I preach, I guess you’d say. And I really hope you can take the time to do that also. I hope you can find the space and build the space in your life. So, over the next little bit, while I go make myself another cup of coffee or two, you can take some time and listen to some past episodes. You can also follow along at groundandgratitude.com or on our Instagram. Our handle is @groundandgratitude. And see if you can pull out some of the tools from our toolbox, check out some of our guests, and do a little deeper dive on them, and let us know what you think. We’re always here to listen while we’re taking this break, and just know how very much we appreciate you and appreciate you listening to our work and being with me along this journey.
